Scott is a fellow South African also residing in the Northern Hemisphere.
Although he’s in the USA and I’m in Europe.
He’s travelled extensively and been on some amazing adventures, many of which were image making related.
We know some of the same people and touch base online every now and then via social media comments.
But we’ve never met in person.
I’ve been an admirer of his work for a while now.
His imagery has a very natural, earthy feel. You can see he really connects with his subjects. And this shows in the images. I feel like I know the people in his images personally already.
As photographers we are often more comfortable in highlighting other people / subjects, and are by nature a bit camera shy.
Ironic, I know!
So, needless to say, I was super stoked he was willing to sit down with me for a conversation about how he pursues his everyday awesomeness.
Scott’s talent and passion for showcasing the things he cares about truly shines through in his work, and that’s part of what I find so interesting.
