Spring Has Arrived.
In our part of the Swiss Alps spring has made its presence known over the last few days.
After last week’s late season ski tour, I was hoping for a bit more of the same.
But alas, it was not to be.
I finally had to give in and get our bikes ready for a sunny afternoon family outing.
It’s not all bad, I have to admit.
When the grass turns green, the flowers come out and the temperatures push 20’C, our little valley comes alive with a different type of energy.
And, of course, bike riding is something I love as well.
So, we headed off from home, next to the river and upstream towards the still snow capped higher peaks at the end of our valley.
From the images it may seem not many people were out, but it was in fact quite busy.
Lots of people enjoying the sunny weather after a few days of cold and rain.
We were fortunate to make it to our goal (a family friendly self service restaurant with play area for kids) in fairly good time.
Only five hundred breaks and seven hundred and sixty two tantrums later.
But after an ice cream (for our 5 year old) and some coffee (for mom and dad) all seemed right again.
Just as well, as we had to race home in time to take the washing down before the next rain clouds arrived!
