Travelling the other side of the world is no easy feat and certainly not with a family, to visit family. I have done it all my life (albeit without kids). It’s a massive undertaking. But finding peace in a skin track not too far from home is like a dream scenario. Its sounds like you went to both ends of the spectrum in the last few weeks. For me, it allows you to make space between yourself and the hustle/bustle. But also make space mentally. Recharging the mental batteries. I hope it felt like a blessed moment topping out on that peak before you transition and find flow in the turns.

It’s summer here in Australia and all I want to do skin track a peaceful peak at 3am.

Great story and great image. Cheers,

Tyson

Indeed, it was a special moment. I find recharging mentally out in nature, especially the mountains in winter on the skin track, allows me to function better on the day to day. Thanks for the thoughtful comment, appreciated! And if you’re ever in the region, you’re welcome to hit me up 🤙🏽

Argh epic, thanks Cornelius. Such a grateful offer - I am keen to take you up on that one day. Whilst it's not snow destination would be happy to show you around the Australian backcountry sometime if you're ever on this side of the world, family in tow! ;)
