Dispatch From Corfu
Currently on a short summer holiday in Greece, and the island rhythm on Corfu convinced me that slowing things down isn’t such a terrible idea.
I had high hopes for productivity on our family’s Ionian Sea hiatus:
A blog or two
Social media posts
Maybe even a small dedicated photography outing
But reality soon brought me down to earth.
With a four year old boy who generally wears out his parent’s energy before his own, plus family time, I would have to make some compromises.
Which isn’t as terrible as I make it sound, to be fair.
I mean, teaching your son to swim better in crystal clear, warm ocean water while mom can relax a bit (only briefly 🤷🏼♂️) for a change is not half bad.
Add to that the Mediterranean summer temperatures, long daylight hours, endless sunsets and good food (plus cold beer, wine, etc.), and I’m not sure what I was complaining about in the first place.
Ah, yes, I had things to do.
Which brings me to the subject of this blog:
When in Rome (or Corfu, in our case), do as the Romans (or Corfiots) do:
Slow things down a bit.
So that’s what I’m doing.
I am still making some images, but very much on the side, and will put together a post / newsletter containing a visual collection in the near future.
But for now:
Family time, sun and sea, slowing things down, and just a brief dispatch from Corfu will have to suffice.
Now, where did I put my beer?
Yamas from Corfu 🍻.

Until next time ✌🏽.
